Melissa, aka Mel, has been biking since she was a little nugget and loved the freedom of getting on her blue sparkly banana seat bike in Georgia where she grew up. She is a first generation Colombian adoptee and part of queer community. She's lived in Mpls. for 20 some years and recently got back into biking about two years ago with an impulse purchase of a fat tire to get outside in the winter. She bought her first serious mountain bike last November and hasn't spent much time out of the saddle since, searching for the next adrenaline high on the single track.⁠ ⁠

When not biking she can be found contemplating life, spending time with her beloved pups and sitting on her deck staring at the sky. She's also a percussionist looking to start a new band post pandemic.⁠ ⁠

Mel is super excited to be a part of the Stamina crew and looks forward to being challenged, learning more about the various disciplines and bringing more awareness about the importance of representation in the biking community.⁠
