Kim Eng was born and raised in Sisophon, Cambodia. At the age of 17, she packed a suitcase, with barely any money and speaking just a little bit of English, and moved to Flekke, Norway alone to a boarding school on a full scholarship. Two years later, she packed her suitcase again and moved to St. Paul, MN to attend Macalester College, again with a full scholarship. Except for a short period of nine months she spent in Washington, D.C., she has been in Minnesota since. ⁠ ⁠

Kim loves biking and has been biking to school and work when the weather permits. She aspires to be a year-round biker in Minnesota and get into competitive cycling.⁠ ⁠
